Here's my new design for Valentines Day featuring my Barn Owl with the crazy eyes, I sketched him out first on paper then scanned him into photoshop. Every time I looked at him I kept getting that old song with the line 'I only have eyes for you' it made me laugh so here he is. I may put him in my online shops for sale as a print without all the hearts and text.

I Love my Cats

So when I'm working on my Mac my two cats seem to hate me working and distract me, I don't mind as at least I'm not looking at a screen and get a break from work. My cats are called Mitzi (the mum) of Ted (her son). Mitzi is about 3 years old (we only got her last year and were sold a pregnant Mitzi) so we let her have her kittens and re-homed all but one the runt of the litter Ted who ironically was the largest kitten out of the five.

The Snow Queen finally finished I could have gone on forever doing this all digital apart from the initial drawing everything has been done in photoshop or illustrator, not sure what sort of application this is for but just had too get it out of my system, it actually snowed whilst I was doing this, how crazy is that!!!!

Hi there and welcome to my first blog this is intended to follow my progression into design. Here's some background info on my life in design to date. I initially trained in screen printed textile design many years ago before computers were used in the design process, realizing that in order to keep up with the then current trends I would have to teach myself computer design I landed a DTP job that would at least pay me whilst I learned, that was 8 years ago and I have finally given it up to concentrate full time on design. To start I always draw my images in the good old fashioned way with paper and pencil, sometimes using my own acrylic or watercolour papers to collage.
